I had a '76 Goldwing exactly like the one pictured above, with the Lester wheels, Vetter fairing with lowers, and Krauser hard luggage style removable saddlebags. After seeing all the missed opportunities for accessory sales, it's no wonder that Honda (and others) got on board with their own accessory product lines. I still think that the Lesters were both better looking and much more robust than any of the OEM wheels that came on the later Gold Wings.

And probably heavier too! Although the late 70s Yamaha RD400 wheels were unbelievably heavy and overbuilt.
