D Day Deception






Through 1944 the south of England was home to a vast collection of inflatable and decoy military equipment, a ploy to make the Germans believe there was a second army wait to attack at Calais and that Normandy was only a feint. I wonder what happened to these all these things when they were no longer needed.

I wonder how often these had to be re-inflated? Can't find that online. Man they had to be leakers eh?
