It's a British Austin 7 chassis and running gear with a large parallel twin motorcycle engine installed. What fun!
Thanks for the chassis identification, I didn't have a chance at that, I guessed maybe the engine was a BSA twin. It would be fun!
The engine looks to be from a 1937/38 Rudge Ulster or Rudge Special. 500cc twin port 4-valve single with an alloy head.
Thanks!Now that I look at it, the engine cases appear too narrow to be a twin.
Much more refined that your usual chain-driven V-twin engined cyclecar.
Or belt driven. I love how utter primitive they all were. More soapbox derby car than automobile!
