I am Peter Hill's son and Bruce Hill's grandson, so I am pretty familiar with the goings-on. My grandfather was a partner and then the sole owner of a construction company c called Seibold and Hill. They had ordered a piece of equipment for "Engineering Tolls and Forgings"; however, the company did not have the money to complete the order, so Bruce Hill bought the company in order to get the piece of equipment finished. The Hill Connection started from there. C Bruce Hill owned the company until he sold it to his son Peter, my father. Yes, Taiwan, China and Brazil copied them, beating them on landed costs. Also, the Union played a major role in their demise as the plant wages became too high.
