Early commuter locomotive

Early commuter-type locomotive, probably made in the1860s. It has the characteristics you'd expect of the duty, symmetrical wheel arrangement for running each way and a pilot on each end. The large diameter saddle tank extends over the smokebox, giving an out-of-proportion appearance with the small-appearing cab but the large drivers hint of some high speed capability.
