Manufacturing Statistics 1930's and 50's

Below, from the Encyclopaedia Britannica World Atlas   (Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc., 1942. 1954).

United States
(According to the encyclopedia, in 1938 the U.S. exported $11,062,000 worth of aircraft and accessories to Japan, representing 16.2% of its exports.  In contrast, it exported only $3,935,000 of these strategic materials to the United Kingdom.  Exports of airplanes to Japan dropped to $498,000 in 1952, and to $5,000 to Britain.)
