Passenger Conveyer, 1954

The New Wonder Book Cyclopedia of World Knowledge.  Philadelphia & Toronto:  International Press, 1954.

No apparent source of power that I can see.  Or wheels for that matter.  Maybe the intent was for passengers to travel to their destinations only in their minds.
Mister G says....One of my Industrial Design instructors re-did the same concept in the mid eighties- to about the same level of detail. 
The idea is attractive. But I'm still waiting for my hover car.
