In 1916 she founded The Bureau of Educational Experiments, later known as the Bank Street College.  Among the College's major accomplishments was the 1984 multi-media series, Voyage of the Mimi, designed to teach math, science and computing.  The series gave Ben Affleck his first start in film acting.
