False. Mario finished 6th in 1970, Al Unser finished first. Andretti won the prior year, 1969, in a Brawner-Hawk(that was not meant to race that year - it was pressed into service after Mario wrecked his Lotus entry in practice).
Andretti did win a race in the McNamara in 1970, but it was not Indy.
