Simca, 1961

Canadian Homes, June 1961
"Imported from Paris!"  Ooh la la!

I don't think I've ever actually seen one of these cars.

Simca (Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile) (Mechanical and Automotive Body Manufacturing Company) was a French automaker founded by FIAT in 1934. Before the Second World War, it was one of the largest automobile companies in France. Chrysler began buying up stock in the company after the war, eventually acquiring 77 percent controlling interest and making the company a subsidiary of Chrysler Europe in 1970. In 1978, it was sold off to PSA Peugeot Citroën and the name disappeared.
