We used to make things in this country, #200. Pixur

 No idea what this is exactly... It appears to be a lamp of some sort, A large heat-dissipating finned aluminum light socket on one end and a magnifying lens on the other. Other than that, there seems to be some references on the net for Pixur tripods and other photographic equipment... any opinions or info welcome.

  1. It looks like it might be part of a photographic enlarger. A google search indicates that Pixur made such things, sold through Garlick Films in Toronto.

  2. this is obviously the lamp housing for a photographic enlarger; it sat over the negative carrier, the illumination went down through the negative and then through the lens, and to the paper on the baseboard of the enlarger.
