Old Betsy of the Oregon Central Railroad

A nice portrait of a plain old -possibly jury-rigged- utility locomotive scanned from the book, This was Railroading, by author/engineer George Abdill who did a series of picture books for  publisher Bonanza Books in the fifties. I can't find much on Bonanza, but they appear to have been a publisher of mostly picture books on various transportation subjects in the fifties and sixties.
