Steamer City of Bangor

William H. Ewen; Days of the Steamboats; Parents Magazine Press 1967
The City of Bangor was the biggest and fastest of the sidewheel steamers when she started the Boston- Maine route in 1894. She was the first ship to be able to make 3 trips a week between Boston and Rockland and by all accounts had a very successful life.
She made her last run in 1927, and was tied up in various places around Boston till she sank at the wharf in 1933, not worth salavaging
