Woods Lyons started a carriage factory in 1858 at the northwest corner of King and Darling Streets in Brantford. During his career as a carriage maker there were five major fires at his factory. He retired from business just in time- in the early 1900s- and died on January 4, 1917.
I wonder if he ever bought a car...
