Gianni Marin, The Motor Car, London House and Maxwell 1963 |
The 507 made its debut in New York in the summer of 1955. Production began in November 1956. The car was intended to sell for about $5,000, when a Ford or Chevrolet was half that, but high production costs pushed the price initially to $9,000 and ultimately $10,500.
The company lost money on each car built, and production ended after four years. Of the two hundred and fifty two built, only fifty are unaccounted for.
