This car was built on a Type 57 chassis and featured a hand hammered magnesium body styled by Jean Bugatti. The car was shown at the Paris motor show in 1935 and the London motor show in 1936 but dropped out of sight shortly afterwards and its fate is unknown.
In recent years a Canadian company, the Guild of Automotive Restorers in Bradford, Ontario was commissioned to re-create the missing car, starting from only a handful of black-and-white photographs and a few rough blueprints. Absolutely amazing project, with fabulous results. The car used an original Type 57 chassis and used Bugatti parts wherever possible.
