The machine shop--a place to meet ladies! At least, for a single, shining moment, that was the dream.
The photographer, Nicholas Morant (1910-1999), was the CPR photographer and was inducted into the Canadian Railway Hall of Fame. His photos have been used on the backs of $10, $50 and $100 Canadian bills. The Nicholas Morant fonds at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies comprise 27,600 photographs!
