The Trident Trigull was a Canadian aircraft intended to compete with the Republic Seabee. The aircraft was of aluminum construction with the cabin area in fibreglass. Three prototypes were built between 1973 and 1976 with technical assistance from both Grumman and Canadair. The company, Trident Aircraft, ran into financial difficulties and closed in 1980. The prototype is shown above at the Abbotsford airport where it was demonstrated by pilot Norm Ronaasen.
The Trigull project is currently owned by Viking Air, who also own the two remaining prototypes.
