April fools axe

I found this axe head some time ago somewhere, it seemed to be in good condition but when the time came to fit a handle, I discovered the taper was upside down! That's a candidate for the scrap bin.

 Just considering it now, maybe it would be possible to make some sort of handle that slides through from the top- pickaxe style...
