Ye Olde Motorcycle Swapper

Back before the Internet, during the dark years of the 1980's when Britbike owners were desperately seeking parts or looking to buy or sell their bikes, we depended on newsprint publications like this one, started in 1982.  I don't know how long it lasted.

Below, a sample of prices from the early 1980's.  Read 'em and weep.

The publisher, whose name was I believe L.J. Cooper, put together ten motorcycle marque histories out of the print material then available to him, publishing a short history in each issue.  Given the benefit of years passed, hindsight, and more information now available, there are some inaccuracies, but they're still interesting little compact chronologies.  Rather than see this work wasted, I've scanned it and put it all together into a pdf:  Motorcycle Marque Histories.

Finally, a bumper sticker available from the rag!  Not very sophisticated, but those were the times!
