John K. Brown, The Baldwin Locomotive Works 1831- 1915, John Hopkins University Press, 1995
During WW2 the Baldwin Locomotive works contributed to the war effort by building tanks as well as their usual line of locomotives. Here a Sherman tank is posed next to a Missabe Iron range 2-8-8-4 used to haul iron ore trains, one of the most powerful steam locomotives built.
Where can I find information about Baldwin executive employees during the " War effort" years ? My grandfather was either in the accounting department , or possibly CFO , during these years.( W.R. Parshall)
I've added the picture source to the post, I've had a look in the book and do not see much about the individual people who worked there. The book does have info into the diesel era, but it is sketchy. Sorry and good luck!
