Bean Cars

The Bean car was manufactured in the West Midlands area of England by A. Harper, Sons and Bean right after WW1. They bought the rights to the prewar Perry automobiles, modernized the design and did well for a few years. By the mid 1920s they were struggling and were bought out by one of the partners, Hadfield's Steel. Attempts were made to branch out into commercial vehicles but by 1933, another company reorganization resulted in a company that only produced components for other manufacturers including British Leyland and Austin Rover.
