Look just like a KZ900 to me. lol. Sure was a pretty bike though. I've owned a few bikes - a 1976 Yamaha RD350 in college, a 1972 Honda MT250 Elsinore (street trail version) after college, a 1977 Yamaha XS750 after college. Maybe not the beasts the pocket rockets of today are - but much 'prettier' with all of the chrome.
As a kid growing up in the late sixties and early seventies, the little Japanese bikes just did it for me, all Candy metalflake paint, chrome and polished alloy- I still can't resist them when I see them. :-)

ReplyDeleteDid the Z900 have the 70's Kawasaki combination of lots of power but dodgy handling and brakes?
ReplyDeleteYes, the frame and forks were not up to the weight and power. But of course, people modified them to go even faster!
