Rose Motorcycle patent
In December of 1903 Amelia Rose of Northallerton, York, England patented a system of pulleys and belts or gearwheels and chains for the purposes of providing variable speeds for the Rose motorcycle but leaving room in the patent for use in what is illustrated as a light car. I think it might have all come to naught as I cannot find anything online concerning a Rose motorcycle or vehicle of any kind.
