Apparently it was oil cooled, I guess the engine was a big enough of a heat sink to carry away "enough" heat. I assume it did not make a lot of horsepower.

ReplyDeleteThe use of the engine as a stress member would be duplicated 40 odd years later in Formula 1 Grand Prix racing.
