  1. I used to rebuild these as a dealer. They were overly complex and each engine had a multitude of shims and spacers unique to each making them quite the labor intensive job unlike the Honda 750. It was the same story when Packard starting building the British Merlin engine and they found the same mess. They standardized all parts for mass production and field repair. Triumph and BSA were still in the stone age by 1975.
