From the April 1988 issue of Cycle World. Scanned and presented here because it is just so beautiful. Ron Wood built dirt trackers in the 1970s as a hobby, by the 80s he had sold his business and was building flat trackers based on the Rotax 600. This bike was his foray into roadracers and should probably be posted above anyone workbench who thinks he would like to make a custom bike.

ReplyDeletebelieve it or not when i was 15 years old my school backpack was full of car and motorcycle magazines instead of school books now age 50 I finally i finally tracked down the bike I stared at in hopes to own this bike someday. to remember this Woods Rotax sj600 has been on my mind since the day this issue came in the mail. its really cool to read this article again so many years later.
