Goodrich Jiffy repair tool


 Another junk box find, Initially thought this half inch diameter device was a small oiler or grease gun, but the Goodrich name gave it away.

    I mentioned the words 'Gutta Percha' to my retired dentist neighbor yesterday and got to hear a 30 minute lecture on its use in performing root canals... kinda ruined my lunch. Thanks Mr. G:)

    Gutta percha was also used ij golf balls - the "Guttie" replaced the "Featherie", until it itself was replaced by the rubber-wound ball, which is still used today.
