Scuderia Cemetori
I can only find one reference online to this vehicle, an article in the Dec 1955 MotorCycling magazine. This was a one-off three wheeler built by a C. T. Alderton of Harpenden in the UK. Powered by a rear-mounted Norton ES2 engine the chassis was a one-off utilizing a Austin Seven front axle. The body was hand formed aluminum. Only one prototype was made.
If this is Mk IV, I'd hate to see what Marks I-III were like!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I have got pictures of when my father owned this same vehicle before I was born
ReplyDeleteAny chance you could send the images to me to add to the post? gerald@vanwyngaarden.ca It's such a unique vehicle.
ReplyDeleteThis was built by Bill Alderton (no idea why he is "C T Alderton" in this article!) who was my friend's grandad and quite a hero, racing bikes and cars and building a number of specials for hill climbing, one of which I've just bought. Among other things he built was a road-registered go-kart which his son Viv took over and took to the hills as well as blasting round Harpenden in.
