One of my vices is vises, Fortis

In my travels I've never run across a Fortis vise but in the picture from an Classic Motor Cycle magazine above the big heavy vise looks good against a background of motorcycle engines. Very little information on the company, even in Grace's Guide, but there seems to be a couple of iterations of the Fortis company and according to a thread on the always interesting Garage Journal, vises were later made by Alfred Herbert, the company that apparently also made Ajax vices (another brand name I've not heard but will look for).
