It took some doing to persuade Great-Aunt Winnie into the 'car, but after her maiden journey round the orchard, she could not be prised from her seat. In the end, young Reggie carried her, hallooing to her scandalized friends, thrice up and down the high street then down the pub, where she caused a scene and was much gratified.
