This image was found on a tumbler somewhere, a bit of googling finds that Mick Fish was a builder of choppers in England during the 80s. Now we know the when and where, still need the WHY.
Appears to be plunger suspension on the front wheel(s) although I'm not sure why - the flex in the "Longfork" is likely greater travel than the plungers. A friend and I have debated at length about the purpose of "choppers", "customs", even "adventure bikes" that will never see a gravel road and have settled on the term "Butt Jewelry" as the most accurate description.
More useless c*ap for a buck, just like OC Choppers and the rest. Man that has to be a great handling machine don't cha think?

ReplyDeleteMaybe he was inspired by the Tyrrell P34 Formula One car.
