My sister, brave soul, had one a those. It had what I think was known as a "kingpin" steering system, and apparently the kingpins on her example had slenderized some. In any case it went down the road like a shopping cart with one frozen caster. Freeway lane changes were thrillingly abrupt.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, thats coming back to me... The GM Handivans had that too. Beam axle, manual steering, kingpins. I changed king pins a few times...
