What is the heavy black ink in the middle of the page to the right of the patent diagram? I'm guessing a stylized logo of the artist or legal firm responsible for the drawing, since the thickness of line resembles the words "inventor" and "witnesses"? I haven't looked at enough patent applications to recognize elements out of place.
That's interesting, if I squint at it and try to decipher it reading vertically, I see H. Then maybe F? then A H T H? Anyone see any other possibilities? And who knows what the last vertical line/hook is ? Maybe it was the patent lawyer name in a stylized way?
Okay, I think I can see it now. The "g' is throwing me off but if I picture it as lower-case it makes (VERY stylized) sense. I was pretty sure it was lettering and even without decoding I liked it just as an artistic element.

ReplyDeleteYou mean FIG.1?
ReplyDeleteThat must be it, João, the next page is 2 but it sure isn't intuitive!
