Here's a device I found at Cardon's at Perth, Ontario on the weekend. No idea what it would be used for, but being all stainless steel and with a handle like another medical tool I have, (bottom) I would guess it's something from the medical world... opinions welcomed!
It's a ring cutter for removing rings stuck on someone's finger. probably from a clinic or emergency room. Jewelers have these sometimes, but they aren't as nice.
ReplyDeleteMy Podiatrist uses a tool similar to the bottom one to debride wounds as they heal without digging into the skin.
ReplyDeletelol it's something, I think, that you might have paid too much for:

I like looking through the cardon website but even in Canadian money they seem
(more than) a bit overpriced.
I did not buy it but it sure looked intriguing. Cardons prices are more or less competitive but there are frequently old dead stock items. The charm is the unusual items that pop up. Its a male toy shop :-)
