Was that when a casting of some sort hit him ion the head and fractured his skull? I think the diagnosis was that he had an unusually thing skull. Weird.
Richard Ernest Ormerod, works manager, and George Arnold Ormerod, salesman, were jointly charged with manslaughter over Packman's death. Packman and George Ormerod crashed into shelving which was holding a quantity of heavy silencers. The impact forced one of the silencers to come smashing down on Packman's head, killing him instantly. Both were acquitted after a lengthy inquest.

ReplyDeleteGilmour Packman died in unusual circumstances in 1925 - he visited the P & P office/factory, got into an argument with a salesman, and was murdered.
