The USS Oklahoma was sunk and capsized on this day at Pearl Harbor. 429 of her crew died.
Righting and refloating the battleship took 2 years, after which she was partially dismantled and eventually sold for scrap. Unfortunately, during the trip from Hawaii and the breakers yard in San Francisco, the ship was lost during a storm.
