This is a really nice looking one; probably rare but I would maybe even use it. I do find myself slipping a piece of 1x (or a screwdriver handle) under a claw occasionally, to pull a longer nail. But as io get older and more arthritic I'm more apt to go get the right tool.
Seems like a answer to a question not many asked. A carpenter should be rarely be pulling nails, and that's a lot of extra weight plus it must affect the balance? But for a guy who was renovating or disasembling crates, it just might be the perfect tool.
All of the Voights seem to have that same defect (?) that would make me afraid to hit anything with it lest I get a piece of hammerhead in my eye:
