In 1924 Paige moved into the top 10 of car manufacturers, building 44,913 vehicles. To celebrate, in 1925 the company celebrated with a brochure titled "43 Ghosts" - the number of car companies that had gone out of business in the previous two years. To quote "43 Ghosts":
"Paige-Jewett has men, money and machinery to build good automobiles and to keep building them" - only for another 2 years :-)
If it drives as good as they say, it could be a case of inner beauty and screw the beholder.

ReplyDeleteWell, I have to say that given the bland sameness of SUVs today — indistinguishable lumpy rollerskates — this wagon looks pretty good to me.
