Mossberg B-1 Bicycle wrench
This small 5" bicycle adjustable wrench is exactly like the A-1 wrench shown at Alloy Artifacts. I picked it up solely because I didn't recognize the M in a diamond logo. These axle nuts are probably the only place these wrenches are actually useful.
Adjust the seatpost and handle bars. You can probably use the end of the handle as a tire iron too.

Ok, you got me. :-) I'm just biased against that type of adjustable wrench-they really don't work that well. Maybe on square nuts?
ReplyDeleteI have a Mossberg A-2 and indeed it's not very comfortable to use on a tightly set nut, square or otherwise. Handle's too thin and short.
ReplyDeleteA better model bike wrench is the Billings & Spencer Model A which has a far more comfortable grip (and heft). Billings also sold a cutie in their Model 97, billed as a pocket wrench. It's clever and easy enough to handle -- but again it's on the short side unless you have a pretty fat (large size) nut.

Bike wrench lines seem to have merged/evolved into the standard "auto wrench" of various sizes by many makers.
