It looks like a design from the early days of fibreglass but the designer managed to avoid any sort of tailfins... To me it looks British, but it's left hand drive. Any ideas? Found on Fbk Marketplace.
That's a project! Saab floor pan, Chysler engine... wow. But,Maybe? There are similarities, but the front end/hood are quite different. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devin_Enterprises
The nose reminds me of a Saab Sonnet morphed to a 240Z. To me, it's got "homebuilt by somebody with some skill, maybe a boatbuilder" written all over it.
I don't know if you saw this but a decade ago some guys were trying to figure it out but didn't get anywhere:
The original facebook post says "Doretti 1031 found in Canada with Toronto possible history un Identified Fiberglass body. Possibly remains of Doretti raced at Harwood (Canada) by Jim Mceachern, Mascon Motors entry September 1957" but who knows.
a modified Devin perhaps?
ReplyDeleteThe rear end treatment is similar.
