This roughly 8"long model lathe was in locked case an an antique store, hence the poor quality pictures. The tag suggested this beautiful model was made by Märklin in Germany, turns out that was not correct, it's probably made by EKT, another German manufacturer who also made model steam engines, These lathes, along with other belt-driven machine shop tools, were intended to be driven by the model steam engines, imagine, your very own belt-driven machine shop! The model is missing some parts, see images below.

This is a Marklin, it has the embossed famous Marklin bicycle cast into it. It is not an EKT
