During WW1 Packard built 6500 Liberty V12 airplane engines. These three gentlemen look less than happy posing with the last one off the production line.
Not shown is Hotrod Bob from the warehouse, who has squirreled away enough parts to build a complete engine for his Model T racer. He's grinning. I've added a link to a previous post with pictures of the engine at Owl's Head. Interestingly, that motor has no serial number stamped on it. I'll see if I have cutaway pictures anywhere.
