Harley patent 1,510,937 1924


This is an advanced concept for 1924. A one piece welded pressed steel frame for a motorcycle. As far as I know it was never built.

    I have to wonder about going to the trouble and expense of patenting that idea at that point, Janoir in France for one had been producing a pressed-steel framed 1000cc twin since 1920.

    a harmonious and a pleasing in appearance frame is provided in the patent, that's one of the objectives.
