Fred Deeley bicycle

10 speed bike from Deelite Distributors, part of Fred Deeley Cycles Ltd.
I was familiar with Trev Deeley, motorcycle dealership and museum but apparently Fred Deeley Cycle was the predecessor (and grandfather) of Trev Deeley and was Harley Davidsons second oldest dealer (starting in 1916). These bicycles appear to be rebadged imports.

I just purchased a banana seat bicycle in Alberta with a Fred Dealey badge on the leading edge. To me it was a great find as I was born in New Westminster and my father Harold Ellis used to deal with Dealey cycles when he was racing with Totem motorcycle club. So cool!!!

Had 1, bought used in 73 for $35 by my Father in ON was my 1st and last 10 speed. Pretty much everything but the frame was aluminum. No wonder the frame was heavy. All the other kids at my school had new Raleigh Record's or Choppers.
