Here's an oddity found at an antique store, a savings bank modelled after an unflattering caricature of Paul Kruger, president of South Africa from 1883 to 1900. The caricature, drawn by Francis Carruthers Gould had appeared in the Westminster Gazette. The 6 inch tall bank was made by the British company John Harper and Co. of Birmingham.
