Knicely Knurled Knozzles
Spare a moment to admire these frequently under-appreciated beauties with names like "Continental", "Imperial Gem" and "Rainboy." Lovely patina on the brass, beautiful knurling. One is stamped "Allen", presumably referring to the W.D. Allen Company which started in Chicago in 1869 and is better known for its fire hose nozzles. Two years later, Chicago would have been a good market for these products. (Sing along with me: "There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight!)
Below, some specialized nozzles. The one on the left is the only one marked with a name: "Fogg It" made by Melnor.
