I was an Army cadet in Georgetown High School way back and we had Bren guns stored in our cadet lock-up room in the school. One weekend someone broke in and stole all the guns. This was around the time of the FLQ crisis in the 60s, but I never heard of them being used by them. They are quite unwieldy so not very practical. I assume they are in someone's collection now.
That's a bit scary, I wonder where they went. They'd be worth a fortune. I used to frequent a n army surplus store that had a deactivated Bren on dis0lay. It wasn't for sale till one day it was gone. He said, "the guy kept coming in, just kept raising his offer till I could not say no." He wouldn't tell me how much.
it would be cool to have a museum with everything being sectioned. cars, guns and motorcycle. the construction of the museum building also being sectioned.
