Who's we ? I did, when I made my first car, a Renault 4 Fourgonnette, into a campervan. Windshield strip, and all over the side and rear windows. Six spkrs stereo, deep shaggy carpet in the back, interior lined with cork all over for soundproofing, mood lighting. Marshall O. would have approved. Tech inspection made me tear out all the window stuff first time out, 'coz there was a law...
My grandfather did. I remember being fascinated with it as a kid. It was a deep sea green, with a touch of blue. I don't know what kind of car he had but I remember it had fins.
Back in the days before windscreens came with a tinted strip in the top of the plastic laminate we used this a lot. Also used it on toughened glass windscreens which fortunately disappeared. They were dreadful!

ReplyDeleteJP, sounds like a happy part of a gloriously misspent youth!
