Monday Mystery, a puller?

Here is another tool sent in by a reader, the jaws might indicate a bearing puller, the screw could drive the wedges underneath the bearing to lift it away? It would only work on something with a short shaft so maybe I'm wrong. The only markings are a W in a diamond (Williams?) and a R in a diamond. Guesses?

Update; A reader, meddleshop, identified this as a clamp for lubricating leaf springs. Thanks!

  1. It's for seperating leaf springs so you can lube them to get rid of the squeaks

  2. The markings are directional, indicating Right and West.

Thanks, meddleshop, I'd never of guessed.
